2026 Phiota Award Nomination (Single Submission)

Each year we come together to recognize those individuals, chapters and satellite within our brotherhood who have successfully exemplified high standards of leadership, scholarship, service, and philanthropy. We will be recognizing outstanding achievement in each of the following categories:

Individual Awards

Undergraduate of the Year

In recognition of an undergraduate member who has demonstrated excellence in the following categories: Academic Achievement: 3.0 cumulative GPA or above

Alumnus of the Year

In recognition of an alumnus who has distinguished professional achievement, distinguished leadership, service to Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., service to the community and loyalty to the ideals of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Chapter Advisor of the Year

The Chapter Advisor of the Year Award is rewarded to a brother who supports the standards of the Undergraduate Chapter/Satellite of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through their academic, professional and community service accomplishments a chapter/satellite advisor.

  • This brother is deemed exceptional and has unwavering support for his advisee chapter.
  • This brother is someone the younger generation can rely on for guidance on navigating career paths and choices.
  • His mentorship and leadership are what separates him from the rest of the nominees.

National Leadership Team Member of the Year

In recognition of an NLT member who has distinguished professional achievement, distinguished leadership, service to Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., service to the community and loyalty to the ideals of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

  • This award recognizes an member of the National Leadership Team who has demonstrated their commitment to the organization through their service in leadership positions in the organization.

Leadership Excellence Award

In recognition of an alumnus who has distinguished professional achievement, distinguished leadership, service to Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., service to the community and loyalty to the ideals of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

  • Leadership Excellence Award recognizes an exceptional alumnus whose Leadership within our Brotherhood helped propel our organization towards greater heights!

Individual: Pan-American Award (Non-Brother)

The Pan-American Individual Award is given to someone outside our illustrious Brotherhood.

  • They embody and support the standards of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through their involvement in any programming and community service projects or through mentoring the individuals of the organizations.

Chapter/Satellite In recognition of an Undergraduate Chapter which has successfully integrated philanthropy as part of their annual programming and events. (MUST BE RATED AS A 6 STARS ENTITY TO APPLY)

Chapter/Satellite In recognition of an Undergraduate Chapter which has successfully integrated philanthropy as part of their annual programming and events.

  • Participation of community service projects
  • Proven success of community service programming
  • Participation in NALFO philanthropic events

Group: Pan-American Award

The Pan-American Group Award is given to an external partner that embodies the standards of Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through their involvement in any programming and community service projects or through mentoring the individuals of the organization.

If nominating two individuals, you will need to submit two separate nomination forms with supporting documents. All nominations and applications must be unique from other applications. One application cannot be submitted for multiple awards. Any duplicate applications will not be considered. All nomination letters must be no more than 500 words.
